Third AOPS of the Canadian Navy begins sea trials

The Royal Canadian Navy’s third Arctic and offshore patrol ship (AOPS), HMCS Max Bernays, has begun sea trials, according to Canadian shipbuilder Irving Shipbuilding.

On July 25, the ship sailed out from Halifax, initiating the series of sea trials. The ship was given its formal designation in May of this year, but the Canadian Navy pointed out that these trials are the last ones before it is admitted to the fleet.
