On Monday, August 01, 2022, and within the framework of the planning of the Hellenic Armed Forces regarding the international cooperation of the Hellenic Armed Forces, joint training of Air Force Fighter Aircraft with the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN Aircraft Carrier of the US Navy was conducted in the wider area west of the Peloponnese.
In said joint training, 2 F-16 BLOCK 52+ Advanced Fighter Aircraft of the Air Force and 4 F-18 Fighter Aircraft from the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN participated in combat training objects between different types of aircraft (Dissimilar Air Combat Training – DACT).
This joint training took place within the framework of the updated Greece-US Mutual Defense Cooperation Agreement, contributing to the promotion of the level of operational readiness, combat capability and cooperation of the participants in a bilateral and inter-alliance context.
