The Malta International Airshow has announced that the Swiss Hornet Display Team F/A-18C will return to Malta International Airshow 2023! This is an exciting moment for aviation enthusiasts, as the Swiss Air Force’s F/A-18C Hornet Solo display is one of the most thrilling and impressive aerial displays you can witness.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a multi-role fighter jet that is known for its speed, agility, and power. The Swiss Air Force’s solo display team showcases the F/A-18 Hornet’s capabilities in a series of high-speed, low-altitude manoeuvres, including loops, rolls, and high-G turns.

Captain Yannick ‘Fönsi’ Zanata is an F/A-18 pilot with Aviation Squadron No 17 and is also a pilot with the Swiss Air Force’s Swiss Hornet Display Team in airshow seasons from 2021. The Genevan has already logged more than 2,000 flight hours, of which 900 were with the F/A-18 Hornet.
