Earlier this morning, the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre received a call through 112 by a civilian who reported a person in difficulty at ‘il-Ħofra l-Kbira’, Delimara.
The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) immediately dispatched its assets to the location, and successfully rescued the casualty, who was handed over to medical personnel from Mater Dei Hospital for further assistance.
The last couple of days the AFM was called upon a numerous times to help in searches off Delimara, Marsaxlokk and yesterday also in the Sliema – St. Julians area due to the inclement weather hitting our island.
