“Viking Vela” was launched at the Ancona shipyard, the first of a new series of cruise ships that Fincantieri is building for the shipping company Viking. Delivery is expected at the end of 2024.
The unit will be positioned in the small vessel market segment. It will have a gross tonnage of approximately 54,300 tons, will be equipped with 499 cabins and will be able to accommodate 998 passengers on board.
Viking ships are built according to the latest navigation and safety regulations, are equipped with high-efficiency engines and systems that reduce exhaust gas pollution to a minimum and meet the most stringent environmental regulations.
