The second Omiš-class inshore patrol ship, Umag (OOB 32), was put into service, according to the Republic of Croatia’s Ministry of Defense. As previously announced, the commissioning ceremony was held on January 17, 2025, at Split, Croatia.
A recent addition to the Croatian Navy, the Omiš class coastal patrol vessel was created to strengthen the Croatian Coast Guard’s ability to protect the nation’s marine interests.
After the prototype vessel, named Omiš, was delivered, this patrol ship is the second of five units that Brodosplit Shipyard has contracted to build for the Croatian Ministry of Defense.
