German Tornados first participants for the Malta Airshow

The much awaited first announcement of participating aircraft for the 2025 Malta International Airshow has just been announced.

The Malta Aviation Society organisers of the Malta International Airshow just published the news that the German Air Force will be participating in the Airshow with a flying and static display by a Panavia Tornado IDS.

“Debuting in the 2025 season, the Tornado Solo Display Team from Tactical Air Force Wing 33 (TaktLwG 33), originally based at Büchel Air Base in Rhineland-Palatinate, promises an unforgettable experience. Due to ongoing infrastructure upgrades at Büchel, TaktLwG 33 has temporarily relocated to Nörvenich Air Base. This inaugural season represents a significant milestone for the team, highlighting the Tornado’s impressive capabilities in a solo display.”

Seeing the Tornado back in the flying display circuit and in Malta’s sky will surelu by a great treat for all the spectators at St. Paul’s Bay and Bugibba during the Malta International Airshow that shall be held on the 27th and 28th September 2025.
