On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the 355th Tactical Transport Squadron (355MTM) was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Nikolaos Hardalias and the Chief of the General Air Staff, Vice Admiral (I) Themistocles Bourolias, at the 112th Fighter Wing, at Elefsina Air Base.
The program of the event included eulogy and memorial service, reading of the Order of the Day by the Commander of 355M, Vice-Commander (I) Ilias Veloudos and presentation of souvenirs to acting Commanders of the Squadron.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Jung Il LEE, the Chief of the Fire Brigade, Lt. Gen. Alexios Rapanos, Senior Air Force Officers, Vice-Commander (I) e.a. Akrivos D. Tsolakis, who in 1951 was sent with the 13th Squadron in Korea from where he returned in 1953 after taking part in 160 combat missions, acting Squadron Commanders, delegations of Officers of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, as well as active and retired personnel, who have served in 355MTM.
